Our day trip to Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness reminded me a lot of home. Not only did we meet a couple from my home state, who agreed with me that the flora of the Highlands is very like that of Home, but the weather was just as varied. One of my favorite sayings about my home state applied here, too: "Don't like the weather? Wait 5 minutes." One moment it would be stormy and wet, as in this photo, and the next moment there would be sunshine and rainbows.
