Whitby's beautiful old graveyard has more "mood" and character than about any place I've ever visited. The constant downpour and dark clouds we endured on the day we visited certainly accentuated the almost spooky feel of the place. No wonder 'Bram Stoker found it a fitting setting for part of his book, "Dracula". Nowadays, among other things this picturesque town is famous for, Whitby is the site of the semi-annual Whitby Gothic Weekend.
