Feeding Time

I almost didn't see this woman walking up to feed her sheep as I was framing the view in preparation for a photo. I'm glad she was there. She adds interest to the photo. Small farm holders seem to be so much more in tune with the daily lives of their animals and the land than the big corporation-owned farms that appear to make up the bulk of American farms, nowadays. While I appreciate the need to feed many and maximize profits, I think it takes something away from the almost sacred nature of farming when speed and greed drive everything. I'd guess this person hasn't lost a sense of what's sacred in life.
