Shankill Campsite

Our journey around Ireland was a camping holiday. This is a view of our campsite in Shankill. Zwack is preparing to cook dinner. We found camping to be extremely enjoyable and affordable, with the average night's stay in a campground costing around £3.50 (about $5.25 US), plus up to 50p (75¢ US) for showers. Laundry facilities were available for a reasonable charge, and kitchen facilities were provided for free. It usually worked out to approximately £5.50/night ($8.00 US) plus the cost of travel and food. As we took busses and trains to get where we needed to go and prepared our own meals, the whole trip (minus airfare from England to Ireland on an economy flight) might have cost us £100 ($150-160 US). Of course, that isn't counting the cost of purchasing and developing 50 rolls of 35mm film :-).
